Help
Getting set up for live-meet alerts takes three steps: add Plifto to your phone, follow the lifters you care about, and turn on notifications.
Install Plifto on your phone
Plifto installs as an app — there is no app store to visit. Once installed it opens full-screen like any app, and on iPhone it is the only way to receive notifications.
iPhone & iPad (Safari)
- Tap the Share button — the square with an arrow pointing up. It is in Safari's toolbar (along the bottom on iPhone, along the top on iPad).
- Scroll down the list and tap Add to Home Screen.
- Tap Add in the top-right corner. The Plifto icon appears on your home screen.
- Open Plifto from that home-screen icon from now on — notifications only work when it is launched this way.
Plifto must be open in Safari for this — Chrome and other browsers on iPhone cannot add it to the home screen.
Android (Chrome)
- When the Install Plifto button appears at the bottom of the screen, tap it.
- Not seeing it? Open Chrome's menu (⋮, top right) and tap Install app or Add to Home screen.
- Confirm, and Plifto installs like any other app. You'll find it in your app list — and on your home screen too if your launcher is set to add new apps there.
On Firefox for Android, there is no install button: open the menu (⋮) and tap Install.
Turn on live-meet alerts
Alerts ping you when a lifter you follow is up next or gets a result at a broadcast meet. They need three things in place:
- Install Plifto (above). On iPhone this is required before notifications can be enabled at all.
- Sign in — alerts are tied to your account and the lifters you follow.
- Follow at least one lifter (see below).
- Tap Turn on alerts when Plifto offers it, or go to Settings, and allow notifications when your phone asks.
Follow lifters
Search for a lifter, open their profile, and tap Follow. The lifters you follow drive both your live-meet alerts and what shows up on your dashboard.
